Welcome to Rock Creek Yarn, a one woman dyeing operation located in the suburbs of Washington, DC. My mission is to bring knitters and crocheters as much joy in their hobby as possible with luxury yarn and beautiful accessories.

Currently, Rock Creek Yarn's products include hand dyed sock yarns and stitch markers made in my home. In the coming months, these offerings will be expanded to include:

- New colorways

- Exotic wood knitting needles

Please note, all of our yarns are dyed by hand in my home. Some skeins are dyed individually, so there are no dye lots and no two skeins will look alike. That's the beauty of artisanal products.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Do you have dye lots? No, the hand dying processes we use create a unique skein of yarn each time. Often, several skeins are dyed together, so they may be similar. Sometimes, skeins are processed one at a time.

Do pets or smoke ever come into contact with the yarn? We don't smoke, and neither do the cats. However, there are two cats in the home whose job it is to supervise all yarn related activities. After all, they are cats. However, we try not to let them into the yarn containers.
